I first met Peter Caproni in the sixties when I was coaching one night a week at the local Y.M.C.A. in Alloa. Peter was one of several youngsters who showed genuine ability, and it was no surprise that he duly made his way into the senior ranks with Stirling Albion and Alloa Athletic.

Although hampered in his playing career by illness and injury, he spent many years coaching and plying his trade as a professionally trained Sports Therapist. However, during over thirty years in the game, his heart and allegiance never strayed far from Dens Park.

This book records in detail what it means to be a dedicated follower of Dundee FC over those years; the ups and downs, the elation and the despair, and the heady days of 1962 when the league was won. Then, in the following season, the feverish excitement of those European Cup nights when the unlikely dream seemed so possible!

Great days! it's all here. Peter's account revived for me so many happy memories of a thrilling period in the club's history.
